MMBR & Friends
It is the Mission of Mid Michigan Boxer Rescue:
~To rescue and rehabilitate the Boxers that others have failed, the unwanted, the unloved and the abandoned
~To carefully choose their forever homes based on the best match between dog and family
~To provide complete medical care, no matter what the need or the cost
~To do our best to know the temperament of each dog in order to know the best placement option
~To offer support following adoption
~To educate the public about the Boxer Breed; and the importance of spay/neutering
~To promote the importance of positive reinforcement training
~To network with other reputable boxer rescues in order to maximize our effectiveness
~To always care, but to recognize our limitations
TRAINING Mid Michigan Boxer Rescue believes that dog owners and their dogs can have a mutually beneficial relationship. We believe in positive reinforcement training, which builds that relationship. Your dog will work for you because you and he are a team, not because he is afraid not to. You and your dog will have a longer and happier life together if teamwork is the key. We have a list, available upon request, of recommended trainers in MI. Mid Michigan Boxer Rescue works closely with To The Rescue! K9 College. We also hightly recommend Brenda Aloff(author of Aggression in Dogs, Canine Body Language and others) for behavior problems, including aggression of all types.
